Camping in Michigan at its best. Waffle Farm Campgrounds is Located in Coldwater, Michigan. Exit 16 off of I-69 ( Jonesville Road Exit ). The Campground is located mainly on Craig Lake and partially on Morrison Lake. These two lakes are part of a chain of 7 beautiful lakes totaling over 1074 acres. This chain of lakes is known as the Randall-Morrison Chain. All 7 lakes are noted in southern Michigan for their excellent fishing. Now if you are interested in in largemouth bass and northern Pike, "They are here!". Last year there were over 10 large and small mouth Bass Tournaments that started from this campground. The largest cash prize for a two-man team was over $1,500.00.

How Did We Get the Name of Waffle Farm? Well, Waffle is a family name. This farm was purchased in 1861 which makes it a Centennial Farm in Michigan. Myra Waffle, Started the camping business in 1925 with primitive camping and two wooden boats for rent. In 1963 Loyd and Maxine (Waffle) Green erected the first restrooms with 30 electric hookup sites. Since the we have expanded to the present size of 376 sites.

The 376 camp sites are spread over more than a mile and a quarter of water frontage and 60 acres of shaded and open areas. The facilities consist of 240 seasonal sites, 30 water front sites (5 with sewer), 80 off lake sites (8 with sewer), and 25 primitive sites.

The campground is separated into two sections: The main camp has 225 sites and the seasonal camp 151 sites. In the main campground your choice of facilities vary from a primitive site to a waterfront site with full hookup. These sites are availible to you by the night, weekend, week, or season depending on their location. The main camp facilities consist of 3 restrooms, 2 playgrounds, a large swimming beach and a new 48 ft. wide boat launch that will accommodate two boat launches at one time. Also in the main campground is the 60-site club area. Near this club are is a 40' x 80' and 24' x 40' pavillion. The seasonal camp has 151 sites (all with full hook up). The majority of the 151 sites are on the front. For complete listing of all our other camp facilities, refer to the layout map, in the maps section on this site, Click Here.

For the skiing and pleasure craft enthusiast --- Morrison and Randall Lakes are more suited for skiing becuase of their large size. The remainder of the chain is beautiful to cruise through for the scenery. The last lake is Messenger Lake which has the County Park with a picnic area and beach. There is one eating place with lounge on the chain that is accessible by boat.

When you are not out on one of the Lakes or relaxing in the camp, there are many other "Things To Do":

For the Golfer --- There are 4 public golf courses within a range of 7 to 15 miles from the campground. The Quincy Golf Course is just south of Quincy. Turtle Creek Golf Club is near Union City. The Prairie River Golf Course is west of Bronson. Iyopawa Island Golf Club is south of Coldwater at Coldwater Lake. The Coldwater Country Club (private) is close by on Morrison Lake. Several of these courses have restaurants. (We have a driving range and a mini-folf course at this Campground).

For Dining --- (from steaks to Chinese) there are several fine restaurants close by and many more within a moderate driving distance.
